Travel Information

Copper Mountain is about a two-hour drive from the <a href="https://www.flydenver.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Denver International Airport</a> (DEN) and feels like the perfect mountain escape. It's best known for skiing in the winter, but in the summer it brings golf courses, hiking trails, and plenty of outdoor activities. The village itself has a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore. Our wedding will be at Aerie Lodge, up American Eagle lift &amp; gondola in Center Village, so we recommend staying in the area for easy access. If you're staying in West or East Village, it's about a one-mile walk to Center Village. Fortunately, Copper offers a free shuttle that operates from 10AM-6PM. Plus all parking is free, with the closest parking lot to gondola being the Flyer lot.

Transportation

Book through Copper Mountain Village

Copper Mountain offers hotel-style rooms and 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom condos. To book directly, call (866) 837-2996 and mention the Mead Nord Wedding Group (Code: 6746) to access group rates. Condos are categorized by Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers, which reflect the level of amenities and unit upgrades.

Book through Airbnb or VBRO

Airbnb and VRBO offer similar condo accommodations to those available directly through Copper Mountain. Pricing can vary, and in some cases, Airbnb/VRBO may be more affordable—so it’s worth checking both. Be sure to book a unit located in Center Village for convenience. While Copper Mountain offers hotel-style accommodations right next to the American Eagle lift, Cambria Hotel delivers a classic hotel experience within the heart of Copper Mountain Resort. Trails range from easy strolls to challenging climbs like Royal Arch Trail and the Second/Third Flatirons Trail. Even if you don’t hike, Chautauqua is a must‑see spot.- Brainard Lake: About an hour’s drive from Boulder, this gorgeous alpine area is where we took our engagement photos. How should I prepare for my Visit to Colorado?

Great question! Our wedding venue sits at an elevation of 11,000 feet, so a few simple preparations will help you feel your best:Hydration is key – The high altitude can sneak up on you, so drink plenty of water before and during your trip. It helps with energy, sleep, and adjusting to the thinner air.Pack layers – Even in warmer months, mountain weather can be unpredictable. Days are usually sunny, but evenings can get chilly.Sun protection – The sun is stronger at high altitudes, so don’t forget sunscreen.Comfortable shoes – The path to the ceremony is gravel, so please choose your footwear accordingly, and we suggest avoiding thin heels.Altitude adjustment – If you’re coming from sea level, give yourself a day or two to acclimate. Take it easy on arrival.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Our wedding attire is Summertime Formal. We encourage color, floral, formal attire. If you plan to wear heels, please opt for chunky or block heels, as the walkway to and from the ceremony is gravel. Our bridesmaids will be wearing a soft butter‑yellow shade. Are my kids allowed to attend the wedding?

We love your little ones and hope you'll enjoy making memories with them during your visit to Colorado! However, we kindly ask that the wedding itself remain an adults-only celebration. Where should I stay for my visit to Colorado?

For the wedding weekend, we highly recommend staying in Center Village at Copper Mountain. It's the most convenient location for accessing the ceremony and reception via the American Eagle lift and gondola, and it's surrounded by restaurants, shops, and activities to enjoy throughout your stay. Copper Mountain Village is also centrally located, just 10 minutes to Downtown Frisco, and about 25 minutes from both Breckenridge and Vail, making it a perfect home base for exploring the area.
